The Myth of Co-Parenting

April 4th, 2008

The article focuses on a situation million of American families are in. That situation is of course the husband and wife sharing equal hours at the office but unequal hours at home. People are working more and more these days and husband and wives usually have about equal hours at work, but women always seem to spend all their free time at home raising the children. The husband works ridiculous hours and the wife is forced to cut back here’s just to make time for raising the children and running the house. It even gets to a point where the women actually quits her job. This scenario seems just like one out of the 1940s or 50s, where the husband works and the wife stays at home. Families usually avoid discussing their unhealthy relationships and it often goes overlooked. I found the situation both interesting and a bit disheartening. Disheartening because women are being forced to staying at home even of they have no desire.
