Response to Bettelheim’s “Cinderella”

Cinderella has always been one of my favorite fairy tales, but I have never thought so deep into the tale as Bettelheim does in his argument.  Cinderella does face a life of sibling rivalry, where unfortunately for her, she is usually wrong.  I can see how many children can relate to the tale of Cinderella.  Whenever a child feels like he/she has been pushed around by a sibling, he/she can reflect his/her life to that of Cinderella and achieve a new feeling of hope.
